Anywho, let's take a closer look at one of the newest traffic exchange program to come out in recent weeks called Traffic Pro-X.com by John Guanzon.
At first I thought just as the name implies 'pro' it meant that this program is pro only which means that you have to pay to join, but that's NOT the case at all, it's a free to join program. The label 'pro' I believe implies more to the 'professional' look and feel of the program, the logo certainly gives it that extra edge.
Quick Stats at time of posting:
1600+ total members --- 120-130 Paid members
Free members surf at 3:1 ratio and Upgraded members can surf upto 1.25 ratio
3 Levels of Paid Membership: Silver - Gold - Platinum

Here are a few things that I LIKE about this exchange:
- The main front page is not cluttered with over stated claims, over hyped promises or ads, it provides you with short, clean and simple statements. I mean what else can you say about a traffic exchange program, other than you view others websites and others will view yours..period.
- The first thing I noticed as soon as I started surfing is how clean and spacious the surfbar is, sort of like walking on a freshly cut green lawn. The matching color coded buttons are on the same horizontal line as the banner ads. This gives you alot more space to see the sites as you surf along. That's huge!
-Surfing is smooth and fast without any problem. I found a couple of sites that slowed down the surfing session due to heavy graphics and video content on the sites but other than that surfing the network was a breeze.
-Traffic flow is very good. While I was surfing, my credits were being used up just as fast as I can surf. If there are way too many outstanding credits in the system, the admin will put a hold on future purchase of credits until the credits are being delivered. This is why I couldn't buy any credits today. I guess traffic flow and delivery have higher priority over sales and profits.
- I like the fact that I can add my picture to splash pages provided for branding purposes. Too bad I can't add my picture to the banner ads...yet.
- They offer a very generous commissions of upto 75 %. You have to be an upgraded member in order to receive commissions. Although this might hinder free members from widely promoting this exchange but in the long run it will help attract more serious marketers. So if you're wondering what the 'X-Factor' is, I believe this is it. Plus if you are an upgraded member, your picture will be added to the ' Featured Member' area. A great way to get more traffic.
- I also like the fact that you can get extra exposure by submitting an article and if accepted it will be included in the newsletter, and because the newsletters are archived, it's a great way to get more inbound links. John was nice enough to mention one of my article in this issue: http://www.trafficpro-x.com/newsletter/4.php
- Customer service is excellent. I called John today and left a message on his answering machine, within hours I got a call back from him and I didn't even leave my number.
Here are a few things and I DON'T LIKE about this traffic exchange.
- When adding or editing your websites, it takes several hours before it is approved. No one will see your site as long your url is pending.
- After surfing for an hour I was a bit dissappointed that I only received 8 extra credit for my effort for a total of 76 credits. It's bad enough that it's 3:1 ratio , it doesn't give you alot of incentive to keep on surfing.
- You can't convert your credits for banner impressions or can't even buy banners impressions for that matter. Right now, the only way for your banner to be shown in this traffic exchange is to buy a yearly package for $50 bucks which will give you unlimited impression for the entire year. If you ask me, that's alot of money for a brand new hit exchange.
- While surfing, I saw the same webpage over and over again which can get annoying at times. This happens either because those are the only sites in rotations or some people have tons of credits that has to be unloaded and not enough people surfing or a little of both. Your goal as an advertiser when promoting in traffic exchange is to show your sites to alot of people and often, not showing your sites over and over again to a just few people.
-Does not give you the option to redistribute your credits. If you have 100 credits stored in one of your sites and you have zero in the 'Credit Pool', and want to tranfer them to that account so that you can participate in the Daily Lottery contest, you are out of luck. It doesn't give you alot of control with your credits.
-If you decide to upgrade your account, don't expect the owner/admin to give you random referrals. It's hard enough to find paid referrals but you can't even get free ones. I've read the upgrade page numerous times and it doesn't say other wise.
In conclusion, Traffic Pro-X.com could be just another one of those typical traffic exchange that's here today - gone tomorrow, I guess only time will tell. However given the current rate of growth, rate of traffic flow, rate of free to paid members ratio and smooth and easy surfing experience, lookout! this traffic exchange could break all sorts of records and could be here to stay for a long time.
If I have to rate this exchange from 1 to 10 I would give it 7 out ten. Traffic Pro-X will give you both short term and long term advertising benefits whether you are just branding yourself or building your network of contacts either as an upgraded member or a free member.
After talking to the owner on the phone, I can tell just from the sound of his voice that he is very determined at the same time very excited on taking Traffic Pro-X to the next level but it is always up to the members and advertisers whether they will continue to support this exchange for the long haul and it's the job of the admin/owner to keep them happy, again only time will tell.
Thank you.
Paul
