It's been a while since my last post and I would like to apologize for that, been spending too much time posting in various forums and blogs. Yes, you've heard me. I get traffic to this blog everyday just by posting my opinions in forums and blogs.
Ok, let's go to the main topic, shall we? I just want to mention two referral contest that have opened my eyes lately.
1. Magnifying Traffic's $300 Referral Contest --
The contest will run from April 10 through the end of May
They are giving away 3 cash prizes totaling $300 and 30 ratio bonus prizes for all of June and July!
3 Cash Prizes - $300 Total
1st Place - $200
2nd Place - $75
3rd Place - $25
For more info about this referal contest, please click here.
As stated on their website:
'Dan Smith and Kyle Hoskins have created a new style of referral contest: where winners are determined not only by the number of new members they refer, but also by the quality that their referrals add to the exchange! '
I just wish that one of this days, they will have a contest where you can only promote in traffic exchange programs, this way everybody is on a level playing field plus it will be alot of fun too.
Anyway....
What I love about this contest is that even though you only have several referrals but if they happen to be an active member, meaning they surf every day or at least on regular basis, you will earn more points towards being a top referrer. Plus they are awarding 30 winners so you can be sure that you will get something in return for all your hard work.
So it begs the questions, how or where do you find active recruiters? where else, but in traffic exchange programs. If you have been building your opt-in list in traffic exchange programs for quite sometime now, that's a good place to start promoting.
2. $500 referral contest - Runs from March 23 - April 22
If you happened to be the top referral for all three traffic exchange (Traffic-Splash, Dragon Surf, Traffic At The Races ) you can win $500 bucks. This is the biggest prize money this industry has ever handed out. Because of the enormity of the prize money, this will attract some of the biggest gurus in the industry as I will show you later on what I mean.

They have removed the two top recruiter for violating the rules. Kudos to the admins who are doing a great job monitoring the contest, keeping it fair for everyone. Even if you just promote this exchagne alone and manage to be in the top 15, you can still get some very good prizes such as free upgrades.

Traffic At the Races contest standing
http://www.trafficattheraces.com/newsletter/issue7.php - at the time of writing this post, I could not access the newsletter for some reason, I'm sure he's working on it, but I can guess that the leader is the same as the leader on traffic-splash and dragon surf. There's a good chance that he will win the competition.
So Who Is This Person Anyway? How is he able to win this competition?

User 205 or Cognigen have vast amount of resources at his disposal. He's got a massive list, he co-own a traffic exchange and he's got connections in the industry, he's probably got alot of disposable income to spend on advertising too and he's using all the right tactics on how to promote effectively in traffic exchange programs. Like I said before this contest is reserve for gurus and if you are a small potato like me, you won't stand a chance. I think it's better to concentrate on one of the exchange rather than all three.
Good luck.
