Some adboards will tell you up front that there are 5000 members in total but only a handful of them are active, more like less than 5 percent who are actively promoting it. The majority of the active member who are promoting it are upgraded members who are smart enough to recognize the potential of these adboards. They not only can give you traffic to your sites but a monthly income also.
Most newbies would just promote it as a free member to test the water if people are actually using it or upgrading their account and only then they will upgrade their account which is too late. If the adboard is a solid program, upgrade first then promote.
Fact: free members always, always get less commission percentage than pro members do.
The real secret behind advertising in these adboard programs is promoting through the entire network and finding out which one is more active.
Each adboard usually has a special spot where advertisers can post their ad which will appear throughout the entire network. So if the adboard has 5000 total members, your ad will appear on all of the adboards both free and pro accounts.
There are some adboard that offers solo ads and banner advertising as well which are not too expensive compare to solo ads in bigger traffic exchange or ezine.
How do you know if the adboard is active? sheer observations
An active adboards is usually the one where the ads are rotating at a faster rate.
For example, if you post an ad right now and after 2 hours or so it dissappears, that's a goood indication that aboard is very active.
If on the other hand you post your ad today and 3 days later it is still at the bottom, that's not a very active adboard. Your ad is moving at much slower pace. If you surf often on several traffic exchange programs and notice that a particular adboard keeps popping on different exchange, post your ad on that adboard as your ad will be displayed on various traffic exchange which will give your ad a viral effect.
The other secret about these adboards is that when you upgrade your account it gives you the ability to not only email the people who post on Your board but you can also email your entire downline straight to their inbox which means you can build your opt-in list. If you have a tight budget, this is the cheapest way to build a list because in exchange for their email address, you are helping them promoting their ads and their programs or websites or blogs.
Next time, I will show you what makes a great adboard and compare it to other substandands adboards.
