My Traffic Exchange Pet Peeves !!

When you surf at various traffic exchange, some pages can makes you smile or even laugh to stiches but boy sometimes there are some pages that just want to make me puke, grrrrr!!!

Here are some of my pet peeves when surfing traffic exchange.

- While surfing at Dragon Surf.com I saw a splash page ad for Roadrunner Surf.com stating that I can earn up to 100 credits for surfing 15 pages. Sounds good right?..... wrong!

So I signed up and checked it out and after surfing about 20 pages, no credits received. So I thought ok, there must be glitched somewhere. After surfing for about 29 pages, I finally got to a bonus page, so I got a bit excited hoping to get 20 or more credits, guess what I got zippo, nothing. The page said sorry, better luck next time or something like that.

So I thought, hmm interesting, I wonder how many pages do I have to surf to get a bonus credit around here. As it turned out it took me 51 pages untill I finally got my bonus credits worth a whopping 2 credits. After surfing 44 pages I also got another one of those sorry messages.

That's a far cry from upto 100 credits for surfing 15 pages as stated in the ad.

(this is the message posted in the members area regarding the surf rewards)

"The surf rewards feature is working, but not like it suppose to. I've been watching it for the past week or so, and I've ask another programmer to take a look at it. There's nothing wrong on the surfers end, it's giving credits, the problem is on my end. There might be slight changes to the way it will work, if things need to be changed, but don't worry, you will still be rewarded. There are 10, 100 credit prizes in rotation today and I would love to see all of them found. All you must do is surf and you stand as good a chance as anyone else at finding them. If you don't take the time to try, someone will" . Noticed that no apologies were ever mentioned.

Oh I will find those bonus credits alright, after spending half a day looking for them, and for what 2 lousy credits! give me a break. I wish other surfer have better luck finding those 10,000 free credits that was supposed to be given away. I would have been satisfied if they said that you have to surf between 50-100 pages before you can get any free bonus credits.

I can't believe the admin would allow those misleading splash page to be advertised all over traffic exchange programs knowing full well that there is a glitched with the surfing rewards page. It wouldn't have been as bad if the admin sincerely apologized and tell everyone that they are working on it.

I was also relieved that I didn't take their one time offer which is half of the normal price, even if they offered 80 % discount I don't think it's even worth it to tell ya da truth.

The bottom line is, you have a splash page that basically says " join us because you could get upto 100 bonus credits just for surfing 15 pages and oh yeah you might encounter a glitch in the surfing rewards page."

Would someone please remind me to cancel my account there, the sooner the better.

For their sake I hope they fixed it before that exchange loose any more members.

- My other pet peeve when I surf traffic exchange is when the owner or admin promotes their own affiliate programs in their own exchange.

As an owner you can pretty much assign a gazillion credits towards any campaign that you choose without giving any considerations to other members.

This was so obvious when I was surfing Deepsea hits.com as it was re-launched a few weeks ago by an existing traffic exchange owners. So many of the regular surfers have praised how fresh the new look is and how much it has improved, traffic flow and surfing activity wise which I agree wholeheartedly.

However, the other day while I was surfing I couldn't help but noticed the same splash pages showing up over and over again with the admin's name right on it.

Do you know what kind of program that person was promoting? Another traffic exchange programs.

Look, I know that when you own a certain program online, traffic exchange or otherwise, you have the liberty to do whatever you want, but when you start pushing your own affiliate programs with impunity, why bother surfing their anymore when you know that some of the pages that you will come across while surfing are from the admin, that's just weird to me.

Deepsea hits says it has over 10,000 members and if that's the case why am I seeing the admin's pages once every 10-15 pages, sometimes alot fewer pages than that. It's hard as it is to accumulate 100 pages or purchase them with you hard earn money, but when an admin start pushing their own affiliate programs in their very own traffic exchange, dominating all other pages in the network, I have a problem with that.

It just feels weird when you see that ya know?
