Today is one of those days when an expert in traffic exchange programs sent out an email to all of his subscribers telling them exactly how to promote in traffic exchange programs. This expert's name Jon Olson who happens to own Ilovehits.com which I am a member of.
According to Jon Olson, there are two (2) simple steps you need to follow when promoting your online business using traffic exchange.
1. Build Your Mailing list
2. Brand Your Name and Business
That's all you should be trying to do with anything you do in the traffic exchanges. The people that get the best results are the ones who follow these simple two steps...Nothing
complicated, nothing too dramatic, very simple!
(Ok Mr. Olson fair enough !)
So anyway he went on to say...."To build your mailing list you should be using a lead capture form of some kind. I use and HIGHLY recommend the powerhouse list builder aWeber.com (which by the way, one of the most expensive one on the market but they are the best one)
But here's the best part, I combine it with a splash / squeeze page to brand my name and
business as well. This is how to kill two birds with one stone. An example of this would be my
squeeze page for Hit Exchange News:
=> http://www.hitexchangenews.
This site has my logo on the top left corner, my name everywhere and then presto, my lead capture form that builds my list. That's all I do and I get great results from it."
Then he went on and recommended Aweber.com (for the autoresponder) and Instantsqueezepagenerator.com ( for the squeeze page ) but then when I went to the squeeze page generator site, it was so funny because I could NOT find a similar looking squeezepage that he used for Hit Exchange News.com
Hmmmm, so I looked at the bottom page of that squeezepage and noticed that the squeezepage that he used was custom made from http://www.trafficexchangedesign.com/ which I'm sure he paid for it.
I've used, seen and tested some of the free generic squeezepage from ISPG and I can tell you from experience that those generic squeezepage don't convert as well as custom made ones.
Ok, ok I understand idea behind the email message was to kill two birds with one stone. One is to give a solid advice to novice traffic exchange users and the other one is to get signups for the above mention affiliate programs.
That's the huge advantage of having a massive list such as Ilovehits.com with over 100,000 members, you can save alot of money by promoting to your own list and make residual income by recommending services that require monthly expenses.
Till next time.
Paul
