When I checked my inbox this morning, I wasn't really surprised that almost every traffic exchange programs I belong to were sending me a free copy of the new Floating Action Button script which was just released today by John Merrick and Soren Jordansen.
What do I find that is so annoying?
This floating bar doesn't have any close button, so if you wanted to move it so that you can read some of the text on the screen, You Can't !!! it sort of like forces you to read that darn thing and I'm not sure if that's my kind of marketing tactics, it just doesn't suit my style. Plus as the script scrolls down the page, it will block out certain text and if you want to move it guess what, you can't.
Wanna see what I'm talking about?
So what if my visitors just leave my website, people do that all the time. When I do window shopping at the mall, I can look at something and if I like it, I will buy it and if I hate it, I leave. I don't have to worry about that piece of clothing or shoes following me all over the mall like that of floating action button script. My goodness folks!!
This floating action button is not a new technology at all, this type of scripts is the same old crap that's been floating around the internet (excuse the pun) but this one has a different smell, it doesn't have a close button plus you can't move it around the page either.
Some internet marketing gurus would love this kind of script because they don't really care about how their customers feel regarding their sites or products, all they care about is how are they going to get their money or email address. That's just how I feel.
No wonder why they are giving this thing away left right and center because maybe alot of people may not embrace it as much as they would like. Hmm...it maybe not be the state of the art breakthrough technology that goings to revolutionize the internet marketing industry that they thought it would be. Gotta give those dudes credit for trying though eh?
Anyway, I will not even attempt to download this script simply because I feel it is unethical for my potential customers and existing customers to force them to see it without giving them the choice and freedom of closing it or moving it themselves. Is my internet career over now that I can't get more subscribers or make an extra buck without this darn script? ummm hell no !
I would like to thank those people who offer it to me for free (a noble gesture) including Soren who is the co-owner of the script. I have alot of respect for this guy because I've known him for several years and I am an upgraded member of his popular and very successful program called Dragonsurf.biz but it is my opinion that the floating action button is not one of his best newly launched program. I am a little bit dissappointed.
This script would have worked for me if it blended in with the page like a ghost then if my mouse moves over it, then it would show up in its normal form plus I can move it around the page and I can close it whenever I want.
Till next time.

Thanks for the great tip,I was wondering about this myself

I use the Floating Action Button on my website. When you construct the script, you have the option of placing a 'close' button. Most people will not place a 'close' button as to prevent the viewer from shutting off the button before they actually look at whatever is being promoted. I use one, however. It's fair to the viewer and it also demonstrates your honesty to the viewer. Here's what the 'close' button looks like...
Thank you so much for the comments, I really appreciate it. Anyway, I didn't know about the option of putting a 'close' button on the floating bar as all of the sample page I saw didn't have that option and it blocked some of the text I was reading and right away it bugged the hell out of me, because you couldn't move them.
I mean if you want your readers to read what you have to say or offer, don't block em, it is hard enough to convince people as it is, and if you can't move the darn thing, it will have an opposite effect. I agree wholeheartedly with wealthyresults.ws about being fair to your viewer and showing honestly.
Most of the ones I have floated by have a close button but the annoying part is still there. One had it on the side of the navigation buttons for every page and every time I went to a different part of his web site another click of the close button required. How many times do we have to say NO? As with any technology there are those who find the ways to annoy others even if it is unintentional.
